Watercolours illustrator

Who am I?

Welcome to my creative cabin! 🌷

My name is Inès, I'm a watercolour illustrator, and I live in the beautiful city of Lyon.

Passionate about watercolours and drawing, in 2023 I decided to launch my own business and leave my job in marketing in the organic food industry, so a new adventure began with la Cabane d'Inès. What a pleasure to finally find the creativity in my work that I've been missing so much!

Curious and determined, I love to seek out new sources of inspiration in the world around me, whether in the great outdoors or in cosy, comforting interiors. You'll easily find me walking in the mountains, or with a steaming cup of tea or hot chocolate in hand in a cocooning tea room... ☕

Handicraft & Ecology

Handmade products and ecology are two subjects that are close to my heart and play an important role in my life and daily routine. So it was only natural and essential for me to integrate them as much as possible into my approach as a young company.

Made with passion in France

On my shop you will find stationery made in France, with all the original watercolours handmade by me: personalisable announcements, decorative posters, cards etc... enough to make (or make yourself) a beautiful gift! The reproductions are printed in small quantities at a local printer in my town, in high quality to obtain a copy very close to the original.

Choice of materials

For shipping, I use recyclable materials and prefer paper/cardboard: in fact I try to avoid using plastic as much as possible, which is why you won't find any stickers, for example. It's also for this reason that your posters and cards ordered from my shop don't come in individual plastic sleeves, as is often the case. Instead, I protect them with several layers of tissue paper. The small business cards I add are made from 100% recycled paper.

As far as my products are concerned, I use quality textured or smooth matte paper for all my cards and posters. For the invitations, I offer 4 types of paper with different textures/renders so that you can choose the one you like best. Of the 4 types on offer, I've taken care to select one that is 100% recycled so that you can choose this more environmentally-friendly option.

Lastly, I pay particular attention to the equipment I use to paint, mainly using Sennelier brand watercolours (made in France using traditional methods).

Choice of suppliers

It's important to me to choose the suppliers I work with carefully. For example, my silk papers used for all my packaging are made in the Drôme by an EVP (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) certified company. The envelopes that go with the cards and announcements are also made in France or in Germany.

Finally, I wanted to choose a reliable printer close to my home in Lyon who could offer me good quality 100% recycled paper.
